The Textile Gateway
Connecting Students to the Textile Industry

The Textile Gateway's mission is to connect students to the textile industry and the incredible world of textiles. It describes the wide range of careers that textiles offer to students from high school graduates, to those with trade school certifications and college degrees. Early education about textiles is crucial for sparking curiosity, creativity, and an appreciation for the amazing advances being made. The Gateway provides students in every grade through high school with a wealth of age-appropriate resources designed to engage and inspire. Industry professionals share their knowledge and insights in articles, videos and live events, providing college and university students with real-world perspectives regarding the changing needs of the industry and the skills required for success. Students will learn about scholarships, mentorships, internships, apprenticeships and the skills training offered through industry workforce development programs. The Gateway also supports CTE/FACS teachers to provide them the opportunity for interaction, and sharing their ideas and lesson plans.
